What Was Your Most Memorable Moment Of the 2011 Season

Before another track season begins  let’s one more time think back on our most memorable time of the 2011 season. Track Dad Jones shared this picture today with me with the caption  “Do You Recognize Someone  In This Picture” Just another reminder that  Lauren and your kids are growing up fast, just as fast as they are running….

I would like to share a few of my most memorable track and field  moment(s) with you and invite you to share yours too!

The picture above was a surprise for Lauren and  a handful of her fellow athletes to dine with Olympians Lauryn Williams and Wallace Spearmon. The evening was all about the kids and they began to really chat up our guest and the guest enjoyed them too…I think this picture for sure is on Lauren’s top five special moments.

My number one  track moment was when Lauren ran to an all time age group best of 11.94 100m and 24.04 200m. I was so nervous that day, guess I could sense something very special was going to happen and it did…. She is always a little subdued after a race but I could see she was proud of herself .

Lauren  says her most memorable moment  was when she was on the podium with her team mates receiving the gold medal for the 4x100m relay. It meant a lot to her because she had run the relay two other times and didn’t get gold and she was very happy to help her team in a real way come home with the gold this time.

Well that’s a start Let’s hear your moments for the  New  Year’s send off!
